St. Joseph Chambers,
      Your Strategic Perspective

Your best interest is at the heart of what we do

Our Approach

Instructing a barrister should not be clouded with uncertainty when you make the call.
We will provide you with a quote for a fixed fee up-front. The services included in the price will be clearly detailed in the quote.

We accept instructions from solicitors or other practising lawyers as well as overseas lawyers.

Where we will need to look at the brief and discuss the fee with Counsel, we will do so and come back to you within 24 hours.

All instructions are accepted on the basis of the (New) Standard Contractual Terms for the Supply of Legal Services by Barristers to Authorised Persons 2012 which can be found at :

The only exception to this is where we have specifically agreed to other terms in writing.

Specific terms apply for cases settled or vacated within 48 hours prior to the court date. Please contact our team  for more information.

St. Joseph Chambers is committed to acting in a socially responsible manner.

Access to the legal profession

Access to the legal profession

We are committed to promoting access to the legal profession and to the Bar, which is why we offer work shadowing opportunities and mini-pupillages when we can, to enable students to learn more about life at the Bar.
