Martin Horne – Called 2015

Martin’s practice encompasses consumer credit and retail banking disputes. He has acted for major financial institutions in claims concerning PPI & motor finance, HP agreements, return of goods, regulated lending, assigned debts and mortgages and in claims concerning credit hire, personal and company insolvency, landlord and tenant possession proceedings and service charge disputes.

He  has appeared in person and/or remotely in the High Court, the County Court, the First-tier Tribunal (Property Chamber), the Magistrates Court and the Valuation Tribunal on appeal.

Martin  is regularly and repeatedly instructed on various and numerous matters by some of the largest firms representing either claimants or defendants at trial, on interim applications, in directions, costs and case management, dispute and alternative dispute resolution hearings.

Martin was called to the  bar in 2015. Before that, he had a successful career in business and financial services.  After initial qualification as a Chartered Accountant, he later gained an MBA whilst working full-time. 

He brings to bear a keen eye for detail, thorough preparedness, exceptional client care, strong commercial acumen and outstanding written and oral advocacy.
