Thomas is instructed in high value corporate finance and asset recovery cases as well as disputes regarding intellectual property and data protection. His work regularly involves international elements with his instructions ranging from clients based in Europe to China.

He is instructed to Draft Pleadings, provide Advice and represent clients in Court. Thomas has acted for a wide range of suppliers and manufacturers in disputes regarding the supply of goods and services.

He has experience across a broad spectrum of industries including construction, motor finance, waste management, pharmaceutical, archaeology, food and beverage. 

Thomas also has experience in the financial sector having been involved in numerous Court Claims relating to PPI insurance.

Personal Injury and Credit Hire

Thomas has obtained success in Claims against local government and insurers for personal injury related claims. He was sole Counsel for three Claimants in a personal injury case which also involved him successfully defending his clients against an insurer’s allegation of fraud.

Thomas has been described by one Judge as an “encyclopedia of credit hire” and he is frequently sought after to advise and represent Claimants in this specialist field.

Mediation

In addition to being a Barrister, Thomas is an SCMA accredited commercial and civil mediator. One particular King’s Counsel describes Thomas as possessing a “very natural ability for mediation”. He accepts instructions to act as a mediator between parties or to advocate for a party within a mediation.
